Lindfield


Another go at projection mapping to keep me busy over easter. I found an old-ish photo on my computer I took in my village, and thought it would be nice to bring it to life a little. This took way longer than it should have, but I'm glad I finished it because I learnt some tricks along the way. Spent a fair amount of time tweaking Maya's ocean shader for the water to look decent, though you don't see much of it in the actual shot and it's not in focus anyway. The z-depth pass rendered out a very short range, but I went with it because I think the shallow depth of field makes it more dream-like. Rendered at 720p because 1080p makes my laptop die inside. Done in Maya and composited in After Effects.
