I recently finished The Southern Reach Trilogy By Jeff VanDermeer, and as well as being fully immersed in the strange and captivating themes of the book, the bold graphic design of the UK release books really caught my eye. I'm not ashamed to say that I do, pretty often, judge a book by it's cover - and in this case it held true. The covers were designed by Tyler Comrie and Rodrigo Corral. I instantly visualised these covers in motion, and set out to animate them. The first was done entirely within C4D, and the rest in After Effects.
