E4 Esting: Glow Sticks

Using some photos I took of glow sticks, I created this mosaic-like animation of the E4 logo outline. I took photos of them laid out and also joined with the connecting pieces, to get the curves needed for the corners of the logo. It was quite laborious, involving at least a hundred layers in one composition (2 layers per square shape).I used a simple expression to create random position movement in the pre-comped photographs, which adds life to the whole thing. I created a grid to help me align the layers, and used a template of the logo to help me position the glow sticks and warp them into shape where it was needed. I'm fairly sure some simple code could have made the process a whole lot easier but I don't really have the knowhow.
